When you choose to invest in colored contacts, there are a few things you must remember.
Firstly, it’s very important that you should assess how natural the lenses look on your eyes coz I’m sure you don’t want to look like a ghost! Unless it’s Halloween or something!

Secondly, make sure that the color of contact lenses works well with your skin tone. That’s right! You have to be careful while choosing the colors! Read on to know why…

Cool toned skin

If your skin tone is fair, then you should go for shades of blue and gray as it will complement your undertone. Generally, bright colors are recommended for people with fair complexions, so colors such as amethyst, turquoise and aqua are perfect.

Medium toned skin

Medium skin tones range from a light olive complexion to light brown or honey. These skin tones give more flexibility in color choices for contact lenses. The best colors that’ll suit on people with medium skin tones are- brown, hazel and honey to green, grey and even violet.

Warm toned skin

Indian skin tones have natural browns and beautiful honey hues that are most desired by people in western countries. They pay large sums of money to get a fake spray tan to get a skin tone as ours, so we should be proud of our stunning bronze goddess skin.
Choose color contacts that complement your skin tone for the most suitable look.

  • Wheatish toned skin
If you have a wheatish complexion, opt for colors like rich honey, mild honey, hazel and grayish-brown. Instead of bright shades, you should go for warm colors, just like your skin tone. You can also go for amethyst shade which will dramatically enhance your look.

Avoid colors such as blue or bright green but, to be honest Wesley Snipes looked cool as ever wearing purple contacts in the movie ‘Demolition Man’! I mean who can seriously pull that off?
